What is KIVO?

KIVO has been developed to allow diners, who are seeking Kosher meals, broader options including vegetarian items daily and organic products that meet Star-K Kosher guidelines.

Menus change daily, with a core of fixed favorites, and are prepared and served action style including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

KIVO is Star-K Kosher certified - all products served strictly meet kosher dietary law. The program is subject to strict rabbinical supervision and employs an on-site full time manager who is trained and certified in Kosher dietary practices.

KIVO FAQs

ATTENTION KIVO DINERS:
Please do not bring in plates, utensils or touch the counters while dining in KIVO. Utensils and appliances used in handling kosher food, including industrial machinery, must be kosher.

What renders a utensil non-kosher?
A utensil picks up the status of the food it comes in contact with - meat, dairy, neutral (pareve) or non-kosher. In addition, the utensil transmits that status to the next food item. Therefore, if a pot was used for non-kosher meat, and then used to cook fresh green beans, the kosher green beans assume the non-kosher status of the food that was cooked there previously.
